Community Guidelines

MeIntoYou works because of what we do not allow. These are the rules every member agrees to, what we do when they are broken, and how to challenge us if we get it wrong.

1.Be who you say you are

One person, one account, real photos, real age. That is the foundation everything else on MeIntoYou rests on — a moderated app full of invented people is just a slower scam.

  • Use recent photos that actually show you. No stock images, no celebrities, no someone else.
  • Do not impersonate another person, brand, or organisation.
  • Do not run multiple accounts, and do not return under a new one after a ban.
  • Do not sell, rent, or share your account with anyone.

2.Treat people like people

Being uninterested is fine. Being cruel about it is not. A conversation ending is a normal outcome; it is not an insult that needs answering.

  • No harassment, threats, stalking, or repeated contact after someone disengages.
  • No hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
  • No unsolicited sexual messages or images. Ask first, and accept the answer.
  • No sharing anyone else's private information, photos, or messages without consent.

3.What you can post

MeIntoYou is a public-facing product on an app store, and profile content is held to that standard.

  • No nudity or sexually explicit imagery in profile photos or bios.
  • No violence, gore, self-harm content, or content glorifying either.
  • No images of children used as profile photos, including your own family photos.
  • No weapons, illegal drugs, or the sale of either.
  • No content that is not yours to post.

4.No scams, no solicitation, no selling

The fastest way to ruin a dating app is to let it fill with people who are working. MeIntoYou is for meeting people, not for pipelines.

  • No romance scams, investment or crypto pitches, "my uncle's trading platform", or any request for money, gift cards, or account details.
  • No commercial sex work, escorting, or trafficking of any kind.
  • No advertising, recruiting, promoting other platforms, or funnelling matches to a paid channel.
  • No phishing links or malware, and no asking someone to verify themselves on an outside site.

If someone on MeIntoYou asks you for money, that is the whole signal. Report it — see Safety Tips for what these approaches usually look like.

5.Adults only

You must be 18 or older. Minors are not permitted on MeIntoYou under any circumstances, and any sexualised content involving a minor is reported to the authorities rather than merely removed. See Child Protection & Safety.

6.What happens when a rule is broken

We aim for the response to fit what happened. A clumsy first message and a scam operation are not the same thing and are not treated the same way.

  • Content removal — the photo or bio goes, the account stays.
  • Warning — you are told what broke the rules and what happens if it repeats.
  • Feature restriction — messaging or discovery is paused for a period.
  • Suspension — the account is locked pending review or proof of identity.
  • Permanent ban — for serious or repeated violations, with no new account permitted.

Some categories skip straight to a permanent ban on the first instance: child safety, threats of violence, non-consensual intimate imagery, trafficking, and financial fraud.

7.Reporting someone

Open the profile or the chat, tap the menu, and choose Report. Pick the closest category and add detail if you have it — a report that says what happened gets resolved faster than one that does not.

Reports are confidential. The person you report is not told who reported them. Blocking is separate and immediate: they lose the ability to see or contact you regardless of what the review concludes.

Deliberately false reports used to harass someone are themselves a violation of these guidelines.

8.Appealing a decision

We get things wrong sometimes, and an enforcement system without an appeal is just a system that never finds out. Email meintoyouapp@gmail.com from the address on the account, with the account name and what you believe was misjudged.

Appeals are reviewed by someone other than whoever made the original call. Child-safety terminations are the exception and are not reversed through this route.
